 OVERVIEW
In the early 1998, Symfun Telecom started the research on Passive Optical Network (PON) technologies and released BX-PON serial products with independent intellectual rights at the end of 2000. With its rich experience on PON technologies and application, Symfun applies itself to the development of FTTX technology in an attempt to provide the optimum solutions.
In 2006, Symfun, by dint of its PON R&D experience for years, put forward the Ethernet-based transmission access system- GEPON systems, providing the best FTTH solutions. End users could realize their dream of high-speed interconnection on the 1Gbit/s access platform and the passive optical fiber transmission mode reduces the investment and maintenance cost of the operators greatly.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
This system is composed of OLT, ODN, ONU and EMS. F- homer2000 shelf OLT with room for 16 plug in boards, the power and switching board support 1+1 protection, and the service boards distributed power supply to enhance the system stability and security. The 15 service boards could be configured to meet the service demand, which can fully meet the requirement of expansion. F-homer2000s is compact OLT with small size, easy deployment and maintenance, which could reduce the investment owing to the small investment scale and fast networking, both AC 220V or DC- 48V power  are supported. F-homer3700 ONU features in compact design for easy realization of FTTH.
OLT provides UL Ethernet interface for connection with IP MAN, IPTV network and NGN, and ONU provides the last-km broadband access to residents and enterprise clients. Each splitter could provide 32 optical branches, each set of F- homer2000 system supports 960 end users at most and the transmission distance could reach 20KM.
SNMP protocol is supported for network management and the operation is friendly and easy. Highly- intelligent network management software is adopted for the management of all equipment via the unified platform. The real-time system detection, active information report and automatic identification of faults are realized. The maintenance cost is saved owing to the convenient management.

* The both TDM and IP support. The circuit simulation is realized via the specified TDM OVER IP technology of Symfun. Private data or dedicated voice access is realized on IP ;

* Dynamic Bandwidth Allocation (DBA) is supported for powerful bandwidth sharing;

* QoS and SLA supported;

* Layer -2 switching supported;

* VLAN tagging and OLT Ethernet port VLAN trunk supported;

* Access control based on source and target IP address; access control based on TCP or UDP source port number or target port number; access control based on protocol number;

* IGMP snooping

* High-precision ranging technology: it is automatic, convenient and free from environmental influence;

* SNMP-based network management with GUI as well as automatic software update are offered;

* Shelf OLT provides modular design with backplane, the power and switching board support 1+1 protection, and the distributed power supply for service boards

* The compact OLT is featured in small size, flexible application, fast implementation and easy maintenance; AC 220V or DC- 48V power supply is optional;

* Built-in optical protection card or standalone equipment could be adopted to protect the upper layer optical link;
